I totally taught myself how to knit a couple of years ago! USING THE INTERNET! Ha! I just Googled "how to knit" and printed out the directions. I made a hat but I hate it, but then I knitted some scarves and I wear them all the time! I haven't knitted anything in a while, but it's totally good to do when you're waiting somewhere or watching TV. Once you get over feeling old, anyway.

[From ~S: Well, I bought some yarn, a few crochet needles, and an EASY to learn (or so it claims) crochet book. I figured I'd start with it. LOL SO far so good, I've made about half of a potholder. :) I did see this thing call the 'knitting loom'. It looked pretty cool and easy to use! But, maybe that's cheating? ]
